This year, we are proud to celebrate Faith Lutheran’s 125 Years in Ministry! When we think of the history since our founding in 1899, it is a good thing to commemorate all the years that have been given to us as a church family. In the coming month of celebration, we will have three special events: our Annual Church Picnic, Homecoming Sunday, and our Senior Luncheon. Everyone is invited, so be sure to mark your calendars!
Our Annual Church Picnic will be held on Sunday, September 8th at Dan Nicholas Park. Shelter #7 has been reserved for the day. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be ready at 5:00pm. Church members are asked to please bring your favorite homemade ice cream to share at the event.
Homecoming for Faith Lutheran will be Sunday, September 22nd. This year, we celebrate 125 years of ministry, and all are welcome! Pastor Joshua Copeland, son of the congregation, will serve as guest pastor for our Homecoming Celebration Service. Members are asked to bring covered dishes and desserts for our Homecoming Luncheon after worship in the Family Life Center.
Our annual “Senior Celebration” Luncheon will be held at 12:00pm in the Family Life Center on Sunday, October 6th. This year, the whole congregation is invited to the luncheon, and our theme will be “Celebrating 125 Years of Ministry!” We will celebrate Faith Lutheran Church from 1899 to 2024, and beyond. Everyone is invited to dress up in “old fashion” clothing as we remember our heritage. Debbie Suggs will cater a wonderful meal for ALL our congregation to enjoy. It will be a great celebration for our Seniors and lots of fun for the whole congregation as we reminisce about the past and look forward to the many years ahead!
